Events
On
the Death of a Child
Sadly, deaths of children do occur, either through natural
causes or accident, or, as in the case of the dreadful events
at Soham, by murder.
Acknowledging this reality, and the loss felt, not only by
the parents, but also by their young friends, Andrew
Pratt wrote a hymn for such an occasion when he edited
Sound Bytes.
The hymn is included here and may be copied and used by anyone
arranging a service in these circumstances, without recourse
to Stainer & Bell, so long as the copyright notices as
given are included.
The following hymn includes words and music and is
available as a PDF file. To view it, you will need Acrobat
Viewer from Adobe.
